ABSTRACT:
The aim of this paper is to show how any organization can deploy the carbon footprint all along the company in order to use it, like management ratio, to enhance the company performance through the continuous improvement system by implementing the process management.
The carbon foot print seems to become a key characteristic both for the company and for the product, regarding commercial image.
Currently there are a lot of discussion about carbon footprint in universities, research centres, companies, newspapers and so, it looks like a very interesting business.
There are not yet a calculation standard of general acceptance, but authors´ recommendation is to use ISO 14067 despite to be still a draft.
The standard issue is not the most important issue regarding carbon foot print business, is most important the data accuracy and the farther use of the value obtained, this is the reason of the deployment system proposed in this paper, how the companies may use their carbon foot print information.
ISO14067 says “this International Standard shall not be adopted or applied with a view to or with the effect of creating obstacles or restriction to international trade”, experts in charge of releasing ISO 14067 seem to be worried about it, the use of the standard like commercial barrier.
By implementing the proposed system companies may be in the pole position for the near future.

Keywords: Carbonfootprint, Processes management, commercial barriers, ISO 14067, greenhouse gases.
