Following the revolution brought about by the technological explosion of recent decades, graphic engineering is evolving rapidly alongside the digitalisation process that has led to Industry 4.0. This has integrated new technologies, including additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital twins, extended reality, cloud computing and blockchain. All this has raised concerns about the disappearance of certain jobs, despite the fact that, as has been demonstrated throughout history in the various industrial revolutions, new technologies have created new opportunities and professions.
