La recuperación experimentada en estos últimos años por la industria siderometalúrgica ha propiciado una importante evolución de los equipos productivos y, especialmente, de los hornos de calentamiento con el fin de:
- Aumentar la capacidad productiva.
- Minimizar los costes de explotación.
- Reducir las operaciones de mantenimiento.
- Posibilitar la automatización integrada de equipos y procesos.
