Los récords de velocidad sobre tierra siempre han sido una ocasión ideal para probar los límites de la tecnología. Un inversor y dos motores de 40 W c.a. con ventilación directa se someterán a la prueba definitiva, cuando se utilicen para impulsar el coche eléctrico a velocidades superiores a 300 millas/h muy por encima de la máxima velocidad de un coche de carreras de Fórmula I. Produciendo una salida combinada de más de 500 bhp de potencia al freno, los dos motores han ayudado a impulsar el coche hasta alcanzar una velocidad de 146 millas/h durante las pruebas. Esto supuso batir extraoficialmente el récord británico de 139 millas/h como máxima velocidad alcanzada por un vehículo eléctrico, igualando el primer récord de velocidad terrestre establecido por Sir Malcolm Campbell en 1924. Mark Newby y Colin Fallows, sus diseñadores, se han propuesto establecer un nuevo récord mundial de velocidad terrestre.
