De la misma manera que para exponer las obras de arte en un museo se requiere local adecuado, de espacio para la contemplación, de luz bastante para que los colores vibren o canten las sombras en los pliegues de la escultura, también los comedores necesitan de espacio, luz y ambiente, para gozar de las excelencias de los manjares. Porque el comedor es un verdadero museo, donde se exponen y saborean naturalezas muertas, bajo la rica policromía que la paleta del cocinero empasta en la obra para afectar a nuestro gusto. Como en los museos, el color dominante del comedor no es ajeno a las buenas digestiones; también-es conocida la influencia de la luz en el metabolismo de la alimentación. Un ambiente confortable complementa las anteriores características; eliminando el anhídrido carbónico que expiramos, amén de las mil toxinas que exhala y transpira el hombre.
