LEARNING EVERY DAY

The Project Management, supported by recent normative changes, particularly with the publication of ISO 21500: 2012, marks the road to search for excellence and continuous improvement of the organization. In this regard, knowledge in the field of engineering companies (lessons learned, stakeholder requirements, etc.), must be integrated into the organizational management system. Within the “quality” rates recognized globally, which affect management systems, ISO 9001 plays a key role for accessing the project tender and therefore the projection of companies inside and outside the geographical boundaries of a country.
The aim of this article is to analyse the critical points of the new ISO 9001 Standard, going into the effect that these changes will have on SMEs in the engineering sector. The wording of the standard makes clear the use of High Level Structure and its alignment with the different standards for Systems Management. Finally highlights the benefits that will be generated by the new ISO Standard of 2015 in the organizations as leadership, stakeholder management and risk management as the disadvantages that occur when we eliminate requirements such as documental standardization.

Keywords: ISO 9001, project management, industry, quality, transfer of knowledge, standardization
