RESUMEN
La evolución de la Electrónica asociada al automóvil se caracteriza por un fuerte incremento en el número de aplicaciones y las capacidades de
control que se le atribuyen desde los inicios de esta relación, hace poco más de veinte años. El desarrollo tecnológico en este campo es un arma de doble filo para los fabricantes, que deben valorar la capacidad de ofertar nuevas funcionalidades y servicios a los usuarios sin arriesgar en el aumento
de fallos en los vehículos. En el presente artículo se revisa el estado actual de la tecnología electrónica del automóvil, se plantean las tendencias
futuras para este campo y se argumenta la influencia del modelo innovador en el desarrollo empresarial de este sector.

ABSTRACT
Evolution of Electronics associated to the automobile is characterized by a fort increase in the number of applications and the capacities of control
that are attributed to it from the beginnings of this relation, more than twenty years ago. Technological development in this field is a doubleedged
sword for the manufacturers, who must value the capacity to supply new functionalities and services to the users without risking in the
increase of failures in the vehicles. At the present article the current state of the automotive electronic technology is reviewed, the future tendencies
for this field are considered and the influence of the innovative model over the business development of this sector is argued.
