ABSTRACTTo be managed effectively, and regardless of his sector, size, structure or maturity, any company needs a Management System to help them develop their vision and goals for the future in a tangible, measurable way. The establishment of a new Management System in the medium sized organizations, constitutes a major task with an action plan scheduled normally on a horizon of medium/long term (3-5 years). The implementation delay of this type of projects, is justified by the necessary cultural change and the accommodation time needed by the interest groups involved (customers, employees, owners, …). The paper objective is to show the existing interrelations between the main components of a planning system, with its different horizons and goals: Strategic Plan, Business Plan, Processes Management and Control System. Besides, this article tries to expose in a simple way the experiences during its implementation in the Municipal Centre College of Laudio / LLodio, and the lessons learned or conclusions at the end of the project. Key words: management system, excellence, strategy, process management, EFQM.
