ABSTRACT The X-ray machines employed in medicine for the diagnosis of some diseases and pathologies, require in Spain for their installation and development of the activity, the fulfilment of a series of fundamental measures that are included in the Communitarian Directive 97/43/EURATOM regarding the radiological safety of the patients and users, taking care of the recommendations formulated by the Commission the International of Radiological Protection (ICPR), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Scientific Committee of the United Nations for the study of the ionizing effects of radiation.
