There are buildings where the latend load is very high and it is required to remove moisture from the air to achieve the confot conditions. The most extended method to reduce humidity are based on cooling coils, this system reduces the amount of water in the air stream through the condensation of water on the coil surface. Another approacch is based on desiccant materials, it aims at improving the process efficiency through the secuestration of water on this material surface. As it is surface phenomenom, as higher is the contact surface between air stream and desiccant, as much water will be removed. Solid desiccant have been broadly used for these applicatiosn, but the use of desiccant liquids is not extended, some of the reasons are related to the reduced contact surface between liquid and air. The evaluated approaches have focused on the application of liquid desiccant film or spray. This paper shows the assessment of an innovative approach based on the genearation of air bubbles into a desiccant liquid bath, this approach aims at improving mass transfer rate. This paper shows the evaluation of the dehumidification capacity of desiccant liquids and the technical feasibility of this technique.
