RESUMEN

El mundo de los negocios está enfermo o, al menos, lo ha estado en los últimos años. Los escándalos recientes no son episodios aislados sino síntomas de una dolencia grave que afecta a aspectos esenciales de las empresas en todo el mundo. Vale la pena reflexionar sobre esa enfermedad, diagnosticarla y apuntar algunos remedios, que orienten los debates actuales sobre el gobierno de la empresa.

ABSTRACT

The business world is currently ailing, and has been for several years. The recent scandals were not exceptional events. Instead, they were symptoms of a serious illness which is affecting core areas of many companies worldwide. It's useful to analyze this malady, diagnose it and highlight several remedies which may guide the current debate on corporate governance.
