The use of the electric kick-scooter is spreading more and more to different countries of the world. Some articles have recently been published on its implementation in some cities, especially in the United States. However, there is still little research on regulatory issues. This work studies the regulation of this new form of mobility in Spain. After analyzing the regulations approved in cities with more than half a million inhabitants, the differentiating regulatory factors between them have been determined. Using a cluster analysis, groups of cities have been established based on their normative similarity. The results obtained will contribute to making the use of this new form of mobility more efficient and sustainable.
