Este artículo comienza situando el potencial de la biomasa en el marco de las diversas fuentes de energía, ya sean renovables o no. Se insiste en el
concepto de residuo orgánico como biomasa, ya que sus posibilidades de valorización son muy importantes.

IS CONSIDERED THE BIOMASS AS AN ENERGETIC ALTERNATIVE?

ABSTRACT
The first part of the article places biomass amongst the different sources of both renewable and non-renewable energy. Organic waste, as it is onsidered a type of biomass, is of the great importance due to its rate of generation and therefore its enormous potential for electricity generation.
