The logistics and transportation of merchandise between different destinations are becoming more complex. Marine transportation, in particular, is receiving more pressure to provide efficient services to its clients. In addition, the competition between seaports has compelled them to look for new strategies in order to improve the performance of their services. Therefore, to develop new decision tools and/or new optimization algorithms is very important for port operators in order to improve the performance of any seaport.
