We have assumed in the previous chapters that the stroke width h of the light that was impressed by the film negative was a value so small that could be considered null; this was in order to obtain a great simplicity in calculations; however, such an assumption is not accurate, by which we are going to see what consequences occur when the value is not null, or what is called "slit-effect". We will consider the two systems of registration: constant density and variable density
