ABSTRACT The transference to industry of technological results obtained by scientists and engineers, as well as the exploitation and commercialisation of these results, constitutes an increasingly important task these days. Many Universities and Technological Centres have departments or offices with this objective. These departments are, in fact, interfaces between researchers and industry. Of particular interest are proposals of Management Models to be applied to technology transference. These Models may be based on other, more general models, such as Excellence Models or Knowledge Management Models, of which there are plenty nowadays. All of them share a similar foundation. This article describes a Management Model applicable to organizations devoted to technology transference. Key words: Excellence, Model, Knowledge Management, Innovation, Apprenticeship, Technology Transference.
