Hemos dicho que las ideas que han dirigido la ejecución de las obras eran: rapidez y economía, dosificación perfectamente controlada de los componentes del hormigón y colocación en obra de éste en las mismas condiciones en que sale de la hormigonera. Veamos el sistema elegido, bien elegido, para llegar a este desideratum, ayudándonos del plano de la fig. 1. 8 tomado de un artículo publicado por el iniciador y director de la S. H. P. de T. E., D. José Orbegozo, en la Revista de Obras Públicas y del diagrama de marcha de los componentes de la figura 2.a Los únicos elementos primarios que entran en la ejecución son, la piedra arrancada de la cantera (1 en las figuras) y el clinker que se recibe en camiones. Corresponden respectivamente, a los ramales A y B de la figura 2.a En la cantera se ha seguido el procedimiento de voladura de grandes masas y retacado en plasa de las piedras que excedan de 0,80 m. Se hicieron galerías que permitieron hacer explotar 52 toneladas de explosivos, moviendo 500.000 toneladas de piedra. En una película tomada durante la voladura se ve a esta enorme masa elevarse para luego caer.
