ABSTRACT The term Web 2.0 is associated with the development of Web-based technology applications and tools used by communities of users. Those applications let these users access and produce information in a simple way, without the necessity of complicated software on their computers. This technology can also be used by small and medium companies to improve of any type of projects involving collaborative work. This paper presents different Web 2.0 applications that can be used by SMES (small and medium enterprises) and the steps that should be addressed to implement them. Different examples of its uses are also explained.Keywords: Web 2.0, SMES, innovation, Continuous Improvement, Information systems.
