ABSTRACT:The effectiveness of an integrated reliability and maintenance management process can only be evaluated based on the exhaustive analysis of a wide variety of factors that, as a whole, constitute the contribution of maintenance to the operating and production processes of an industrial asset. There are no simple formulas that allow designing a comprehensive maintenance and reliability model within an asset management process (ISO 55000 Standard approach), there are also fixed or immutable rules with validity forever and applicable for all production assets. This article describes the importance of the audit process in the areas of asset management, maintenance, and reliability processes and maintenance software tools, describing two survey techniques, cited below, AMORMS: Asset Management, Operational Reliability, and Maintenance Survey and MSS: Maintenance Software Survey. Finally, the proposed results and recommendations are presented based on the application of the two audit methodologies: AMORMS and MSS in the electricity transmission sector.Key Words: Auditing, Asset Management, Maintenance Management, Reliability, Software.
