ABSTRACT:
In recent years various methods of multicriteria decisions have been incorporated into decision taking processes. Many of those methods still fail when no accurate and fully quantifiable information is available. Fuzzy logic has been incorporated as an adequate technique to, along with the mentioned techniques, enhance the decisions made in several domains. This article suggests the application of a hierarchical analysis technique (AHP) combined with fuzzy numbers (fuzzy AHP) to select techniques or lean tools in maintenance improvement projects. As a validation an application case study is presented.
