Based on information on 5,150 employees of an infrastructure multinational, an analysis on a new performance appraisal model and its relationship with salary management has been carried out. The conclusion is that salary increases below 10% are almost exclusively linked to performance, while higher promotions are usually assigned to employees with great potential, being their performance a less relevant factor.
