RESEARCH ARTICLES

On the one hand, the international standard ISO 9004:2009 provides a basic orientation to get "sustained success" for any organization in a environment complex, challenging and constantly changing, with a focus on quality management where sustained success is achieved by responding to needs and expectations of different stakeholders. On the other hand, a very important function of Project Manager is to reach "success" in projects, fulfilling the expectations of the organization, usually these projects are ways to achieve the strategic objectives of the organization, this is the reason that Project Management is a discipline of great importance for business.

In this context, is immersed ISO 21500:2012, "Guidelines for project management", in an attempt to harmonize and unify the knowledge and practices of the discipline as an international standard.

This article seeks to incorporate aspects of Project Manager, such as managing stakeholders, the figure of the Project Manager or the Project Manager’s skills, enriching the model described in ISO 9004:2009 , and easing the way for SMEs with organizational structures oriented projects achieve "sustained success".
