ABSTRACT:
This paper presents a theoretical concept about the diagnostic and improving of the Strategic Prevention Capacity (CAPE) base on Compensatory Fuzzy Logic. The results in 30 companies show a low development of the CAPE and the need for best practices in the diagnosis of risks, integrated analysis of the risks and projection of risk management strategies. It is contrasted the need for a major relationship between the strategic direction of the company and the diagnosis of risks and this in turn with the strategic program of the action. The full implementation of the methodology in five companies permitted to increase the CAPE and to achieve significant improvements in the performance of the companies. It is considered appropriate to increase the sample of firms and the development of a methodology to help to implement the different improvement actions that come out of the diagnosis and evaluation of the CAPE.
